The RL helps you stay on top of most maintenance activities by use of both the Maintenance Minder and Tire Pressure Maintenance systems.
Rather than using a static table of time and mileage to keep track of maintenance, the Maintenance Minder™ system on the RL calculates service needs based on how the vehicle is driven. It checks engine operating conditions, such as weather extremes, stop-and-start traffic, and frequent short trips, and helps coordinate oil service dates and other maintenance check-ups to minimize your trips to the service department. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System uses pressure sensors mounted in each wheel that send readings to a central electronic control unit. If a reading is significantly below the recommended level, the RL will alert the driver through the Multi-Information Display (MID) located on the instrument panel. The problem tire will be indicated, along with the individual pressures for all four tires. The pressure display can be accessed any time using the MID controls on the steering wheel.
