Adaptive Cruise Control

Part of the AcuraWatch Plus Package, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) gives you the option of maintaining a set interval from a vehicle detected directly in front of you. It allows the convenience of cruise control to be used even when there is light traffic around you. While cruising, engage the ACC, and the system will prompt you to select a short, medium or long following interval from a vehicle detected ahead. ACC will hold it for speeds between 25 and 95 mph, modulating the throttle accordingly.

ACC cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. ACC should not to be used in heavy traffic, poor weather or on winding roads. The driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision.
