Inside the American Honda Collection Hall
Kelvin loved the Acura NSX from the moment he first sat in the driver’s seat. “I am a child of the 80s and 90s,” he told us. “I liked Lamborghinis, Ferraris and the NSX. But the NSX was actually attainable. And practical.” Years later, when Kelvin found one for sale in Phoenix, he went for a test-drive: “It was so low, I felt like I was sitting on the pavement. I fell in love immediately.” He bought the NSX for himself as a 30th birthday present. “When I showed it to my [twin] brother, he bought one, too.”
After Kelvin shared his story with us on Facebook—including the fact that he now owns two NSXs—we knew he had to be one of the ten passionate owners we choose every quarter to visit the American Honda Collection Hall. This year alone, owners and enthusiasts from all over the country have visited Southern California for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Packed to the rafters with stunning and rare vehicles, American Honda Collection Hall is an invitation-only museum—and hallowed ground for automotive fans everywhere. First models, milestone models, concept cars, motorcycles, Formula 1 and Le Mans racing prototypes, and, of course, the NSX decorate this otherwise unassuming warehouse in Torrance, CA. A simple walk-through is a walk through automotive history.
